Working 9 to 5 is a challenge, one that involves cramming gardening into the weekends and doing general maintenance/watering throughout the week.
Grateful to be able to do both, very fortunate to have the freedom to garden, to work and live peacefully and happily.

A very new addition to the family, a very cute and cuddly assistant gardener... Who enjoys eating plants a little too much! >:(
...Introducing Paloma!

Hello fellow gardeners and plant enthusiasts.
I've been building GardenLog alongside my growing gardening obsession, tailoring it to my plant planning and tracking needs.
Today I'm doing a soft launch to invite feedback to help guide further development: gardenlog.au

If you don't live by the coast and would like to experience the wonderful aroma of seaweed, give your plants a drink of Seasol's Seaweed Solution... Happy, smelly gardening!

Some regular morning visitors bless us with their morning warbles.

One of the favorite parts of my day is checking on little seedlings to make sure they're happy.
It's a quiet, reflective part of the day.
These are some very little Trinidad Scorpions :)

Repotting is pretty fun. Before this hobby grew into an obsession I started small... And am now starting to repot seedlings from small plastic containers.
I'm going to need a lot more pots soon 😀

Today I added to my chilli growing obsession and planted some sweet cherry chillies, using the seed sowing time to reflect on what this hobby might look like... In a few months, lots of Jalapeños, Carolina Reapers, Ghost Peppers and Trinidad Scorpions 😂

My favorite helper often likes to make my watering routine longer - involving pats and many treats. He's also very nice to cuddle when dealing with programming problems and bugs - both software, and gardening bugs.

On a day when I felt distracted, I got a bit carried away with my site banner. It started with some rolling hills and bushes eventually growing into an animated SVG image which reflects the user's time, weather and how many plants they have.
Pretty happy with it! :)

a large, half-finished garden plot. some of it has new mulch and soil added, and small tiles mark out where a path will go later. there is one very happy kale in the bed along with two small chard plants, and a couple more kale growing from the side of the bed bc they just decided to grow like that for some reason. there is a small red glass bird on a stake for decoration.
close-up of chard, bright green leaves with pinkish-red stems. some of the leaves have been nibbled on by bugs.
blurry photo of many small starts in a small plastic greenhouse.
