I recently decided to make a point of trying #KDrama comedy Having just dropped #GausElectronics after 3/12 and 0 laughs, I see that of the 93 #KDramas I've scored at least 8/10 FOUR had comedy as 1st or 2nd genre tag.
Of the 127 I've dropped, 12 did. It's no laughing matter.
I don't fancy my chances of finishing #KDrama #GausElectronics after episode 1, and the number 1 reason is the subbing: The subbers have gone NUTS with T/Ns trying to explain every single pun and having to pause each sub to read long T/Ns is a surefire comedy killer
Seeing the said nakasan LITERALLY parachuting into work in the very next frame makes me think that #KDrama #GausElectronics is very much a language based comedy. For these to work in another language requires phenomenal translation skills

Yeah it was a surprisingly good #kdrama. I was half expecting it was gonna be another #SoundOfYourHeart comedy when I started it, but it was more closer to #GausElectronics with its emotional depth.
Han Yoon-ah was such a well written character and Jung In-sun was so cute playing her.
Oh it landed. Beautifully and majestically.
That's a solid 9 comedy rivaling #GausElectronics. Full review tomorrow.
Now the question is, do I jump straight to #WelcomeToWaikiki2, or try a different title next?

The most “comedy only” shows I can think of are #GausElectronics #PegasusMarket and #WelcomeToWaikiki
For me it’s also because I tend to gravitate to dramas rather than straight comedies. I’ve seen some very comedic kdramas for example, but none that are set up to be like #ParksandRecreation (maybe #GausElectronics is, but I haven’t seen that one)
If you like #GausElectronics, you'll really like #ThePotatoLab. So far, it's peak romcom goodness!
Seriously though, #GausElectronics awakened a new trope that I surprisingly enjoyed in my romcom #kdrama; FL sunbaes romantic interest.
Also why is Kang Min-ah not in any project since 2022? she's a perfect rom-com FL with her Disney princess eyes and expressive facial structure.
I've seen this guy in 3 dramas now with #Happiness and #GausElectronics and I hated him in all three. Guy really has a highly offensive face.
I just wanna punch him.

I think that was the first time I'm actually sad that my drama ended.
Not from the story or anything (which wrapped up beautifully), but I've grown surprisingly attached to the characters.
Not a small feat to accomplish with just 12 episodes.
