Mike Allen writes spooky things—a Publishers Weekly reviewer once called his stories “nightmare fuel.” Two of his collections of horror tales, Unseaming and Aftermath of an Industrial Accident, were nominees for the Shirley Jackson Award, named after the author of The Haunting of Hill House. To Mike’s delight, his newest novel, Appalachian horror yarn Trail of Shadows (Broken Eye Books, 2025), has been named a finalist for the 2026 Webster Award—an award that honors the memory of his dear departed friend Bud Webster. His other novels include the post-apacolyptic swarming-undead sidearms-and-sorcery adventure The Black Fire Concerto (re-released by Ruadán Books in 2025) and its forthcoming sequel The Ghoulmaker’s Aria. He’s also the author of two more unnerving story collections, The Spider Tapestries and Slow Burn, and six books of poetry, among those the Philadelphia Inquirer Editor’s Choice selection Strange Wisdoms of the Dead. His stories and poems have appeared in Asimov’s Science Fiction, Apex Magazine, Beneath Ceaseless Skies, Best Horror of the Year, Interzone, Nebula Awards Showcase, Strange Horizons, Weird Tales, and many other magazines and anthologies. With his wife Anita, he runs Mythic Delirium Books, home to numerous award-winnning and award-nominated sci-fi and fantasy volumes that defy categories and expectations, including the five books in the Clockwork Phoenix anthology series. As an editor and publisher, Mike has twice been a finalist for the World Fantasy Award. Follow him on Instagram @mythicdelirium and Bluesky @mythicdelirium.bsky.social.

Gregory Amato made a career of selling his quill as a mercenary writer for many years. He wrote true and important things for newspapers, magazines, academia, and, for over a decade, intelligence analysis for the FBI. Now, he writes fantasy stories based on the myths and sagas of the vikings. His fiction is often influenced by tales lost to time, usually full of high adventure, and always the sort that makes readers late to dinner. Outside his time spent spinning yarns about vikings and wizards, he teaches Judo, brews beer, and plays D&D when he gets the chance. Gregory lives happily with his family in the Pacific Northwest.

I’m a cosplayer out of Richmond, VA. Under the cosplay name mr.i_will_x_tell, I put together my first cosplay in 2022. Best known for my DC and Marvel cosplays, I love cosplay because it gives you a break from some of the stress of real life. You can dress as a fandom you love and meet other people with the same passion. Also the smiles from kids being able to meet their favorite heroes and villains from comics definitely makes it worthwhile. My biggest goal as a Richmond cosplayer is to bring everyone together in the city to show the rest of the world that we have a great cosplay community here. You can catch me most times doing movie meetups, photoshoots around the city, and showing love to the cons around Richmond.

AI Drey Mychalus is a person and definitely not a simulation of one. He is a lifelong reader with a creative love for fantasy and speculative fiction of all sorts. After spending much of my college years collecting degrees like trading cards, I realized I needed to have a career to support myself beyond playing AD&D. I landed a number of jobs along the way, including archaeologist, history docent on the Maryland Dove sailing ship, and running a prison law library. Eventually I became a source of trauma for the public school system where they paid me to share stories written by others along with more subversive activities like teaching kids how to imagine and think for themselves. Along the way, I wrote school policies on book challenges and helped develop curriculum in every subject except math. In my spare time I am an equestrian and reenactor and also dabble in blacksmithing and medieval martial arts with more than 40 years experience. Now a writer with publication credits as diverse as covering neopagan topics for WitchVox, as well as writing fiction, of which I have done much. Published works include a story in the anthology Fae Thee Well by Dreampunk Press and one in the anthology Lurking in the Gene Pool by Three Cousins Publishing. I occasionally venture from my rural cabin to attend sci-fi, steampunk, and fantasy conventions in the mid-Atlantic region.

Originally from Minnesota, Dennis M. Myers developed a serious reading habit early in life due to the influence of his grandmother. In high school he read one particularly “awful” book and, with all that teenage hubris, decided he could do better. He joined the US Navy in 1982. An avid roleplayer, he sold his first adventure to Challenge Magazine in 1990. While serving on submarines, he compiled ideas for what became the Automated Empire universe; a timeline spanning 4,000 years. In 2017, the opportunity came to write full-time for several months. With the full support of his wonderful wife, May, he began the book that is now known as Final Assembly, the first in his series, Rise of the Automated Empire. His latest novel, Secret of the Ombax, was published in October, 2025. Fifth in the Automated Empire Universe, first of a new series. He can be found at AutomatedEmpire.com.

Katie Oslow is a provocative author, activist, and “gender fluid enigma” who creates at the intersection of dark speculative fiction and radical social commentary. Known for her philosophy of “gender chaos,” Oslow crafts stories that dismantle traditional binaries, exploring the visceral and philosophical nature of transformation. Her work spans across genres to address the complexities of the human experience: Sci-Fi Dystopia: In her Rebalance series, Oslow envisions a future where gender and biology are tools of both control and liberation. These narratives explore systemic power and the reclamation of self in worlds designed to categorize and constrain. Transformation Fiction: Her collection Lessons in Lace serves as a hallmark of her work in gender-swap and feminization erotica. In these stories, transformation is more than a plot point; it is a catalyst for deep introspection, exploring how the shift in physical form impacts identity, desire, and societal standing. The Nexum Universe: Her darker explorations are captured in the volume Sentenced to be His Sex Pet. This dystopian dark erotic thriller examines the architecture of ownership and the loss of agency, mirroring real-world power dynamics through an extreme, transgressive lens. Beyond her fiction, Oslow is a staunch advocate for transgender rights and social justice. She views her storytelling as a form of activism, utilizing “gender chaos” to challenge cis-normative structures and champion bodily autonomy. Whether writing about magical gender-swaps or dystopian enslavement, Oslow remains committed to visibility, authentic representation, and the pursuit of true liberation for all identities.

Martin V. Parece II Martin is an award-winning author of fantasy, science fiction, and horror, though his work often tends to bleed into multiple genres. He delights in bringing his readers stunning literary prose mixed with glorious cinematic-style writing with subtextual commentary. While other 80’s kids watched G.I. Joe and Transformers, he was scared to death from Alien and The Terminator (probably not the best content for an eight year old). While his friends growing up were reading Tolkien, Martin explored the lost landscapes of Robert E. Howard’s Hyboria with Conan. These works and movies shaped the kind of writer he became. Books should be cinematic and epic and adventurous and dangerous. The theatre of the mind is the greatest of all, and heroes should be normal people who find their power through extraordinary circumstances. Even Martin’s first faltering attempts at playing Dungeon Master contained big ideas with epic storylines, even if they fell short of the mark he aimed for. He set aside creation as adulthood and life happened, as they always do, but returned to it around 2009. He published his first novel in 2011. “In the end, I’m just a guy who likes to tell stories and headbang in the car. I hope you’ll come along for the ride.”
