McROM: A microcontroller-based ROM emulator for a homebrew computer EEPROMs are all very well, but they’re not convenient. Could a microcontroller do the job faster and with less fuss? Maybe.

I'm using an STM32 microcontroller in place of an EEPROM in my homebrew machine. This is the story of the first stages of this journey (Medium sub required).

A small package of electrical relays wrapped in clear plastic. On top is a red sticker, with the symbol of a camera surrounded by a circle with the strike-though line. In English, it says "No Photographing". That is followed by Chinese ideograms which I presume say the same thing. Note there is no logical or coherent reason to disallow photography of an object like this, particularly if it's not going to be seen until after someone has purchased it. <shrugs>
