We are writing to ask for your cooperation in uncovering the British government's complicity in genocide.
On Monday, you released private correspondence between yourself and disgraced former British ambassador - and friend to the convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein
- Peter Mandelson. In a message sent in July 2025, you said:
"Israel is committing war crimes before our eyes. Their government talks the language of ethnic cleansing and I have met with our own medics out there who describe the most chilling and distressing scenes of calculated brutality against women and chitdren."
Many of us have been appalled by the government's failure to acknowledge Israel's repeated breaches of international law. The government's longstanding position has been that Israel's actions in Gaza "are at clear risk of breaching international humanitarian law", stopping short of the conclusion that Israel's actions
constitute a breach of international humanitarian law.
You will know the reason for this discrepancy: once a government acknowledges that Israel is committing war crimes, then any continued military or political support is an admission from the government that it is knowingly aiding and abetting those war crimes. This admission also triggers obligations upon states to
