...why Diannah is suddenly the compassionate one in the finale, why and how the blind woman is a psychic that's connected to Genocyber, the lead hero in part 1 was just there to move what little story there is before he got vivisected. #Genocyber
All the moments in the other stuff I mentioned have stories that make these shocking for the right reasons and go WITH the story. #Genocyber didn't have much in a story even in the good parts. We don't know where Elaine got the cyber suit in part two...
I don't feel like I should've warn people about those because
1. They're more well known with their reputations.
2. Those were written with the stories thought up and the violence revolved around it. #Genocyber feels like a teenager going violence first, plot later.
That said, however, there's a huge difference between the ultraviolence in stuff like #Genocyber and stuff like Mad Bull, Akira, even drek like Angel Cop.
Yes, I'm about to arguably defend Angel Cop, that's how hollow Genocyber leaves me.
I can also see why people wanted it rescued and preserved. It's not good by any and all means, but it's a time capsule on OVA violent anime. A time on how far anime directors, studios, and projects would go to get eyeballs and let creators create. #Genocyber

Well, before things really hit the fan, it turns out the blind woman is going through...

We flashback and find out that the church started glowing around the woman's body. Before the man can get her to a doc, Diannah jumps in and leads him away...because the Kool-Aid man's red, I dunno. #Genocyber
"Big sister, try to catch me!" ...the same team worked on this, why is Diannah the playful kid personality? #Genocyber
Oh, and that thing the old man put in his pocket? A detonator. Double whoops. #Genocyber
When the guy regains his sensus, he's caught by a running old man that puts something in his pocket...then he wakes completely up and tells the army where his girlfriend is!
Oh yeah, that whole "I killed a man" thing. Whoops. #Genocyber
It turns out the boyfriend/husband was missing as the blind woman was the only one found. Where is he, you ask? Why, doing the one thing anyone with a concussion must do: Walk aimlessly. #Genocyber
They somehow know that the blind woman connected with Genocyber, thus they come to one conclusion...

We open part 2 with the blind woman...walking with...I think Diannah only shrunk in the wash...to a giant version of Elaine while a preacher speaks and...well, mini Diannah freaks out and causes the woman to wake up. #Genocyber
And Part 3 is supposed to be the aftermath of the destruction, right? Meaning, time for the cycle to start again and we get hints at it with this "Leave The Bronx" plot.
This mean the second half of part 3 any better? Time to find out. #Genocyber
Part 1 was her birth, part 2 was the start of the destruction. It's the whole cycle plot, old hat from other anime that came before and after #Genocyber...
...but that doesn't change how off the rails this is and how oddball of a story this is and, no, a good dub wouldn't help.
Look, I'm just gonna get this out of the way right now that part 1's done, I get why they did this.
Aside from remaking Cybernetics Guardian.
The whole thing that created Genocyber in the first place is that energy of destruction and rebirth. #Genocyber
And the blind woman sees, via her powers, a battle with Genocyber that results in...Diannah and Elaine talking to each other again and...taking their spirits to the next plane? #Genocyber
