The Jantar Mantar is a collection of 19 astronomical instruments built by the Rajput king Sawai Jai Singh founder of Jaipur, Rajasthan. The monument was completed in 1734 and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is next to the City Palace (Pink Palace) and Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds). Photograph shows a stone sundial.
