Giant Trevally (Caranx ignobilis), the largest member of genus Caranx as well as 5th-largest carangids.
At 170cm and 80kg max, Giant Trevally is a chonky thing. And being big and fast allowed GT to be apex predator in and around coastal and reef waters around Indian and Pacific Ocean.
Not only big, GTs are aggressive. So aggressive they will ram blacktip reef sharks, often resulting in shark being dead. And if it isn't enough, GT around Farquhar Atoll has a certain habit of catching sooty tern fledglings learning to fly... on the air. Yes. They will leap out of the water and grab tern mid-air.
The darling of saltwater sportfishing world. The bird-eating bully of the reef. Giant Trevally (Caranx ignobilis).

A 58 kegger caught on an urpekari. This fish was resuscitated with the boga by slowing moving the boat forward to force water over its gills.
