The old Gilmerton Limestone Mines. They collapsed and caused a major emergency more than twenty years ago. 300 homes had to be demolished and replaced. The area looks much nicer as a result and the lovely Fernieside Community Park was created on the site of the collapse. #Gilmerton #Edinburgh
