The Secret of Spring
Can’t beleive how fast time flies! Already 2 months since we wrapped up the WinterQueen show.
I use to say that it takes at least 3 months to make a show. I know I said that next one will be a bit simpler. Well… let’s just forget I even thought that…
If you have done your math you have figured out by now that the next show is about 1 month away. And if things go smooth and there aren’t too many bumps on the road, I think that’s possible.
This time the story is about Spring. Did you know that spring just don’t appear out of nowhere? We MAY get help. From who you may wonder. Well…that’s what we are going to tell you in this show.
Even this time **Jallu** have done the music. And if you liked the music in WinterQueens you will love this!! I can promise unexpected beats.
Working with **Milo** is both a gift and a challange. Let’s just be clear from the start, nobody can create magic as she can. And she have done it this time too. The challange is that sometimes in the middle of the night she find flow and decide to start all over with a scene. So I can wake up in the morning to a completely new scenery. Then my brain have to reboot and figure out new moves for the dancers. But I don’t mind!! Cause it’s always for the best! Some mornings I can arrive to a scenery that makes my jaw drop.
In this show I’m not doing all the choreo myself. We also have **Tazzy** making her first one. Very exciting! And she’s doing it well!
Even this time **Sepp** have the ungrateful job of making the story from all our ideas. During the work with the scenery and the dances we change the story more than once. We get new ideas and throw away old ones. At the moment we are working after the 5th draft for the story… And please don’t tell Sepp… but we have done som more changes again…
This time I knew I needed someone to be in charge of the outfits. Hunting for the right ones takes time! I asked **Ull** , and I’m happy he didn’t know what the job means when he said yes. I had to create a support group for him. Cause working with me means you get a lot of NO. But we are getting there with the outfits! And it will be great!
We also have **Ashton** in the team now. He’s creating emitters, water splashes and moving flowers, and I have seen some other amazing things too over in his corner of the working space.
There are others too! And they will all be presented for you of course.
I often see myself as the weak link in all this. I’m still learning the magic of choreo as a student at the Epic Dance Center. But I do have one skill. And that’s to find all these amazingly talented people that make magic together!!
