Root of all weevil? Only if you're knapweed! #BirdGlamour recently saw the Knapweed Root Weevil in south BC! Calling south Europe & Mediterranean home, Cyphocleonus achates was released in North America in the 1980s to control spotted knapweed. It may be working? #WeevilWednesday #GlamorousByNature

I can relate to the Chocolate Demon! There is a genus of skipper butterfly, Ancistroides, with "Demon" as part of the common names of each species! Found in southeast Asia, the Chocolate Demon, doesn't want your chocolate: they love plants from the ginger family! #BirdGlamour #GlamorousByNature ๐Ÿงช๐Ÿก๐Ÿฆ‹

#BirdGlamour #GlamorousByNature was feeling a little sluggish with the Pacific Banana Slug!
They can be many different colors, from dark green to yellow to white! These omnivores are important for organic breakdown and seed & spore dispersal.
Thanks to @taenia.bsky.social for the great pic! ๐Ÿก๐Ÿงช๐ŸŒ
