It's my son's 7th birthday party with friends today. We're all going to see the new Super Mario Movie and thanks to tickets from Costco Canada it's costing us half price because of the savings on food and drink.

A cup was held to her lips, and a burning, torturing liquid—bad whisky, she fancied—was poured down her throat. For a moment it brought her stranglingly to herself. She passed her hand through her tangle of glorious hair. "Where—what—" she stammered feebly. The Mexican woman lifted the helpless girl in her strong arms and ran toward the cabin. "Ramon, you bring more!" she called sharply. "The señorita has bad scorpion bite, and some folks that kill. Give her lots, and bring me the hot water!"
Okay, so the writing may be terrible on a technical level, but the heroine gets to drink alcohol (albeit for purely medicinal purposes) AND there's better-than-average Mexican representation. So at least there's that? #GloriousHair
