Sylphs are beautiful, winged humanoid women with immense power. They hail from the Springs of Nimbus, but travel all across Pantopia. Some take up residence in other places, and it’s always quite notable when they do. To Novapals, sylphs are almost like a fickle pantheon of deities. They have a society of their own, and, while they interact with Novapals, sylphs are always seen as separated from or elevated within the social structures of Novapals. Some sylphs are benevolent, seeking ways to aid Novapals, or available to beseech in times of need. Others seek power, destruction, or chaos; in the past, sylphs and Novapals have had to band together to stop such sylphs. Many more still simply live their lives with occasional forays into the lives of Novapals such as through requesting favors, visiting shops, or merely seeing them at the Springs of Nimbus. Sometimes, traveling sylphs will ask Novapals to fetch them items. Generally, sylphs are not especially forthcoming about why the Novapal must do this for them; perhaps they haven’t the time, they lack Novapal currency, or they simply find it amusing to send Novapals on errands for them. Regardless, sylphs will always repay a favor fairly—and, considering the strength of their magics, often more so.
i'm not completely sold as sylphs as substitutes for faeries for my #goweaveabasket jam entry but pixies isn't QUITE the right vibe and i can't think of a better alternative :|a
legally distinct #goweaveabasket jam would be a great place to channel your despair over the neopets ttrpg if there were any reason to be upset about it at all
the sudden urge to recover my account is of course totally unrelated to my legally distinct #goweaveabasket WIP

my entry for the bootleg Neopets game jam now contains: a food shop with randomized inventory, a war plot where you get to choose a side, sexy faeries, secret colours, "the Wheel of Nonsense," and a whole lot of pets dying #goweaveabasket
Gelert - write down the names of those you feel loyal to. you always know when they are in trouble, and add an extra die to your pool when you roll to defend them. if they ask a favor of you, you will always do it. if they betray your trust, you can cross their names out by deciding how you hurt them in return.
Shoyru - you can always decide that you hold a grudge against a newly-introduced character for slighting you in the past. when you meet them, flip a coin; on heads, they are apologetic and want to make it up to you, and on tails, they don’t remember, don’t care, or didn’t think it was that big of a deal. Skeith - you can always intimidate someone smaller than you into doing you a favor. when you do this, write down their name, and the name of someone who’s a match for your size and won’t be happy about what you did. Techo Tonu - you can always forcibly barrel your way straight through a complicated situation. when you do, flip a coin. on heads, someone is hurt or something important is broken as a result. on tails, you make it through unharmed, but you do get yourself in trouble.
haven't decided if i want to just keep the neopets names or file of the serial numbers for #goweaveabasket
