An update.

It has to have a banner, keeping with the old school vibe.

So, mocked this up tonight.

Flamin' Ork skull. Will be same on both sides. May have cross piece to support the flames.

Decided not to try and add sponsons, i think it would spoil the look and just not be worth squeezing them in.

It meant I could finish off the sides.

Had to take a short break, but back to it.

Adding the two weapons was an utter ballache. Not hugely happy, but they'll have to do. They are removable, just in case.

Also, I looked at maybe squeezing in some fixed Big Shootas to the side of the big gun.

Think I will go with it, but scratch build some guns, rather than using the heavy stubbers.

The new dozer/gun shield will have openings for them.

I hit it lucky and found a main weapon in my bits box.

Needs some clean-up, but I've started cutting the front panel and sorting its fitting.

Need to add a fuel cap over the pipe, otherwise you'll get all sorts into the fuel tank.

Mocked up the body, to help get the shape and size sorted.

Tried to keep elements from tee Epic tank and the WD version.

We'll have a barrel at the front and exhausts at the rear. Need to get two more weapons in as well.

It's chunky, but not huge thankfully.

It's now proppa chunky.

Quick update.

The spokes now have side plates increasing their thickness to 4mm.

Started added plates on the inside face of the rim between spokes.

To do, finish plates, add rivets and welds. Then to 2mm plates on outside and details all over.

First front wheel very WIP.

The 'spokes' will be made thicker, and another mm added to inside face of rim. Will also get 2mm plates added as per rear wheels. Lots of details, weldlines & rivets to come.

It's not a quick process, but I'm hoping it looks ok when finished.

Both wheels 99% done.

A smaller 1 mm plate added to every 2mm plate and dags added, with rivets. Few locations had missing dags, with just holes where rivets had been lost.

I think they look much better now these have been added.

Takes them to 75 mm in diameter.

The rim plates are boring, so I've looked at adding something.

Already dismissed 2/6 options, but have these left.
1. Second plate
2. Thin strips
3. Thick strips
4. Dags

Favouring 4, plates look more chunky while adding interest. Could still add plate under them as well.

Still need to add detail to the plates, big chunky rivets needed on those.
