The little spider friends of Mikaila's that are in the story were based on Painted Red Leg Tarantulas. They are very aggressive and possess a strong venom. There is a species of giant Tarantulas calledBird Eaters to which they are related. Even touching a Tarantula's body can cause a person to break out in a rash but when it comes to lethal poisons appar ently the effects are different for each person. But I've heard that the Black Widow's venom causes the highest mortality rate. That's the spider that kills its partner after mating. Not only that but the male doesn't possess any poison. How scary. Usually I would draw a diagram but I won't even touch the drawings of the spiders done by my assistants (I'm sure they didn't enjoy drawing it either) so I can't do it. My manager bought a lot of reference books for me but they're still really gross to me. Oh no, I touched the photo. Ew...
