Day 16: Slasher Decades ago, a couple was enjoying the great outdoors. Gaston and Lorraine. They would carve their initials into the trees so they could retrace their steps. But marking their territory was their gravest mistake. The bounty hunters of The Badlands wanted this happy couple taken down. Gaston for his wealth. Lorraine for her ties to the supernatural. Both wanted dead or alive. And they were easy targets on vacation. Gaston was resting in their tent. Lorraine was putting out the campfire. And she never joined him. Gaston could no longer rest. Not when his lover's killers were going to reap their rewards. He made sure there was nothing left of the campsite but ash. Legends say that Gaston's spirit remains in a vengeful state of limbo. Any tree marked with the initials "GL" is a gateway to his next target. If a gunshot rings out, and there is no shell left behind, the Golden Bullet is to blame. If a tree in the woods wishes you "Good Luck," you will need it.

The Bubby Tavern was closed today. But there were still plenty of bubbies roaming around. This off-day is meant for tidying up the dining area and restocking the ingredients. While some bubbies were busy sweeping the floor and taking out the trash, a couple joined Goldbullet outside. Gibby stood at the main entrance of the garden. The path behind him led to a grid layout of planters bordered by trees. "Alright, you two, we got a lot to gather. And ya got the same eagle-sharp eyes and grippers–" he opened and closed his hands "–as me. So use those senses to find what's ripe for the picking!" Beccy happily smiled and nodded. Bubbert confidently adjusted his ribbon. "That's the spirit, hahah!" Gibby placed a basket in front of them. "So, what do you guys wanna harvest?"
