Victoria Coren Mitchell has revealed how her romance with husband David Mitchell was delayed for years after the tragic death of her father. The BBC Only Connect presenter, 52, has been married to the Peep Show star since 2012, but their romance began years earlier when they were first introduced by fellow comedian David Baddiel. Victoria recalled how Baddiel played matchmaker at a film premiere in 2007, telling her: "He specifically said to me, 'There's David Mitchell over there, I think you should probably marry him, I'll get the ball rolling by introducing you. "I thought that was ridiculous but, a couple of hours later, I thought I would probably marry him.' " Victoria, who is also a professional poker player, confessed she had decided she wanted to marry David after just hours of meeting him. But while the chemistry was immediate, the couple didn't go on their first date until three years later.
