Wildfire Update:
There are actually two separate fires in Skamania County burning in close proximity, on the southeast side of Carson is the #HotSpringsFire and is approximately 20 acres. About 3 miles west along SR-14 is the #GrantLakeFire which is approximately 7 acres. #wawx #wawildfire

#GrantLakeFire Winds are gusting up to 25-30 mph! It remains west of Bergen Road on both sides of Highway 14! Aircraft are dropping water! Four Type 6 brush engines, two water tenders, a dozer, and two hand crews requested, per radio traffic! Evacuations in effect!

#GrantLakeFire The fire is 100 acres and has a moderate to high spread, per radio traffic! Currently some resources at risk! Local evacuations of trails requested! This is now known as the Grant Lake Fire! The fire is now said to be 50 acres, per radio traffic!

#GrantLakeFire SR 14 both directions from milepost 47 near Wind River Road / Carson Junction to milepost 53 near Collins State Pit will be CLOSED due to a brush fire, use alternate routes, if possible, expect delays beginning at 1:50 pm on June 11, 2025, until further notice!
