Back in pingoland - #GreatHockham Hills and Holes - now with Chiffchaffs but not a single woodcock (maybe they all left by the full moon). Still came across no signs of amphibians. The nettles (to my chagrin) growing by the minute.

Fabulous old Oak and my first #Norfolk woodland Primrose of the year at #GreatHockham.

So happy that primaeval-swamp-like habitat persists in #EastAnglia.
Could this even be a Wild Daffodil?

Back in Pingoland. Total Woodcock heaven. A flushed Woodcock is among the most tantalising, intangible experiences in the #EastAnglian countryside. But, as they can be shot with a gun, should be possible to snap them with a camera... Hills & Holes #GreatHockham #Norfolk 6/9
One heck of an Oak at Furze Grove and a terrific fallen Beech at Knights Fen. Buzzard not impressed by my intrusion into his woodland domain.
