🌏 Grey bush chat (Saxicola ferreus)

The grey bush chat is a small passerine. Males are predominantly dark grey to black with a prominent white supercilium and white underparts. Females are browner with a buffy supercilium and rufous rump/tail. It is distributed across the Himalayas (from Pakistan to Myanmar), southern China, Taiwan, and mainland Southeast Asia. They inhabit subtropical/tropical moist lowland and montane forests, scrublands, and open areas. Grey bush chats are insectivorous, typically perching on low branches or shrubs and sallying out to catch insects in mid-air or on the ground. 

Conservation status: Least Concern (IUCN 3.1)
