Their most active, normally erupts every 5-10 years but not since 2011

In the @smithsonian @NMNH Volcanoes of the World database, 11 recorded #eruptions (~0.1% of the total) have a #Halloween start date. #Kirishima (1566) is the first, others include #Grimsvotn, #Etna, #Bogoslof, #Ruapehu, #Bromo, #Villarrica, #Pacaya & #Manam (latest, in 2002).
