I’m at work and I keep thinking I hear thunder, but it’s just the wind gusts. We had power flicker off once but it came back right away, luckily. Otherwise, we have to go and cover all the open coolers to protect the food, and that’s a pain.

Backrooms at the grocery store tonight are floral chaos. Groups of shopping carts all over the place filled with bouquets as they get made. It’s kinda pretty when every corner you turn has a bunch of flowers sitting there! #GroceryLife

There was so little shopping today that there wasn’t much to fix. Manager opened a cheese tray for us, so now I’m full of cheese and already home for the night. And glad I’m not working tomorrow and Tuesday when the trucks will likely be larger deliveries to make up for this weekend.

We have no truck coming up tonight, so we’ll be down to a skeleton crew tonight just putting the store back in order and running any backstock for our aisles. I just have to remember to head up earlier since roads are snowy and speed limits are reduced. #GroceryLife
Most of our order at the grocery store was cut from the truck tonight because I guess they don’t expect a lot of shoppers? So no chili or hash or canned chicken or ranch dressing for my aisle (among other things)
But. We did still receive *three* full pallets of ice cream🤷🏻♀️

It’s somewhat amusing that there’s a very noticeable uptick in turkey/turkey-flavored petfoods & treats at the grocery store this week.

I do not give a damn if you’re eating food that may or may not have been purchased. Just don’t make me clean up after you. It’s disgusting.
My food discourse contribution is I don’t care how or where you get your food, but if you’re eating in the grocery store, quit leaving the uneaten bits on my shelves. Trash bins are all around. I don’t want to touch the cherry pits you spat out from your mouth or clean up fruit goo. #GroceryLife
Working overnight on time change night is always fuzzy when it comes to our schedules. My normal Saturday night shift is 9pm-4am. That’s what the schedule says tonight. But is it 4am standard or DST? (It actually doesn’t matter because the delivery is big so everyone works extra)😂 #GroceryLife
Half my aisle is still riding around on a truck somewhere so I’m getting out fast tonight. I’ll either get lucky & it will come on a truck this morning so my mortal enemies (Day Crew) will have to shelve it, or comes w tomorrow night’s delivery and I have a reeeallly long night then. #GroceryLife
I was feeling pretty smug about my small loads & getting out of work early the last couple nights, which is why last night karma arrived with double deliveries 😭
