Index 19:00 Cheap Sweaty Fun Clip from the first episode of Index 19:00, a magazine series produced by Criw Byw for BBC Wales in September 1993. Presented and researched by Sassy Hicks - sassyhicks02@gmail.com The clip shows how Cheap Sweaty Fun, a gig promotion company, record stall and record label owned by Simon Phillips, promoted live music at TJ’s in Newport by hosting live bands from Newport and across the world during the epoch of live music in Newport, south Wales. I’ve uploaded this here in memory of John Sicolo, the owner of TJ’s, Chief Ambassador of the Newport music scene and a man loved by everyone that met him. Special thanks to everyone in this clip and to Andy Brice and Geriant Jarman, the Producers at Criw Byw.
