Four small pots, each with an African violet leaf cutting, freshly potted and labeled with the cultivar names: ‘Smoky Mountains,’ ‘Crater Lake,’ ‘Picasso,’ and ‘Ever Beautiful.’ Clear plastic domes cover the pots to create humidity. They’re arranged on a tabletop under soft LED lighting.

Tonight’s after-work project: potting up these African violet cuttings, sent to me by someone I met right here on BlueSky. Grateful for kind strangers, shared passions, and this little app that brings us together.
