At the foot of the mountain in #Hualien County is a township called #Guangfu comprising 14 villages with a total population of ~12,000. The murky torrents unleashed crashed into urban infrastructure, swept away cars, and flooded buildings. Many had no time to escape and drowned in their own homes.
