It's not all bad, it leads to the cool rail section with the impressive 2D transition that everyone loves. Normally, in situations like this in a game, both routes would be available, leaving your choice to whatever the dialogue encourages you the most. But that's not the case here. Chai's stubborn, and that route that Peppermint mentions is completely locked to the player. Upon realizing that (because let's be honest, a lot of us tried going that way to see what happens), it hit me that not only was this completely out of my control, but myself as the player am ALSO at the mercy of Chai's stupidity.”

But this doesn't just apply to the dialogue. In the next track, you're presented with a very obviously dangeous-looking spot to stand. As a player, you think ‘There's no way I'm standing there. That's bad news’, which is, of course, the right way to go about it. But remember, the way the story progresses is not up to the player. That’s up to Chai. And... of course, because he's an idiot, he lands into trouble and stands where he's not supposed to. But hey, he goes to his mind palace to come up with parrying during that scene, so it's not all bad.”
