After a filibuster by Missouri Senate Democrats, Republicans shut down debate and forced a vote passing #HB1 (gerrymandering) using the PQ motion. Immediately after, before debate even began for #HJR3 (IP process) they did the same and passed it. Not allowing any debate. #MoLeg
While debating #HJR3 (kills Missouri’s initiative petition process) Democrats called out a lack of quorum, meaning over 1/2 of the representatives were not in the chamber-where they should’ve been. In retaliation for making republicans work, Alex Riley(R) shut down debate & forced a vote. CALL HIM.
