Watching #HKTVB live after a gap of 49½ years reminds me of why we sometimes switched over to RTV or the English-language channels. It wasnʼt always good. But what a shame #歡樂今宵 got cancelled 30 years ago. The news-magazine show on at the moment is dull. #EYT #TV

The bittersweet thing about finally getting #HKTVB at home is that #歡樂今宵 was cancelled 32 years ago. Stuff happens when you cannot watch a channel for 50 years due to emigrating. #TV

Quite a few #HK ads on #HKTVB are for OAPs. Which is fair enough considering the size of their population and their disposable income. Not saying OAPs are rolling in it, but I am saying that young people donʼt have much these days. #TV

Now that I can watch #HKTVB again, the prime-time ads are … terrible! I imagine as in so many places, #TV networks are finding it tough.
The TV news is definitely more international.
