Currently #reading: Book 11 of He Who Fights With Monsters. I quit this series after Book 3, but r/progressionfantasy talked me into picking it back up. Book 4 and onward is phenomenal. Definitely the most realistic ascension to godhood I've seen. #HWFWM 📚🦄

I finished #HWFWM and loved it. The use of essences to obtain abilities is a cool magic system.
Mine is based on a Game system, but it's a device used to keep track of status and skills.
Battles take place in different locations, another resemblance to my book, except mine are in towers.

I'm finding more similarities to my book 😂
I now know there are cores that can be used to increase ranks. In my book, cores are used to create elemental spirits for summoners or to increase mana.
