With McLaurin and Noah Brown sitting out pretty much the whole preseason, it almost feels like the Commanders have to get their passing game installed and in sync in just the two weeks between the final Preseason game and Sunday's opener.

Brandon Coleman was supposed to sit out yesterday. That's what the coaches wanted, but the second year guard asked to play, said he needed some live reps. This is a kid changing positions and coming off an injury. Obviously, he's also a kid that gets it.

Commanders beef up offensive line, draft tackle Josh Conerly Jr. with 29th pick Washington continues to build around quarterback Jayden Daniels by adding two-year starter from Oregon with its first-round pick.

At the start of the offseason, my biggest hope was that we improved the trenches. Last year, we had a line that maxxed out at around a C+. On paper, a line of Tunsil, Coleman, Biadazz, Cosmi, and Conerly is a world of improvement.
