China Launches Long March-8A Rocket with New Batch of Internet Satellites
China successfully launched a Long March-8A rocket from Hainan Province on Saturday, deploying its 14th batch of low-orbit internet satellites and advancing its growing broadband-from-space network. The rocket lifted off at 3:53 p.m. from the Hainan commercial spacecraft launch site, carrying a cluster of satellites designed to strengthen China’s developing low-Earth-orbit communications constellation. The mission adds another group to the expanding system, which is intended to support nationwide and global coverage for high-speed connectivity.
