From Beyond (1986): This wasn't as good as Re-Animator. It's less in control of its own silliness, but as a parade of cool visuals and pretty colors and insane special effects it really delivers. 🎃🎃🎃/4 #HalloweenWatch

‪Sinners (2025): Not to nitpick a very good time, but the production and sound design on this one took me out of it. I think the huge, blockbuster budget clashed with the B-movie spirit of it all. Loved the creativity though. 🎃🎃.5/4 #HalloweenWatch ‬

First up on this year's #HalloweenWatch: The Lost Boys (1987), an all-time banger. Love how it plays out on two tonally different tracks, as a brooding gothic romance for the older brother and a comedic farce for the kid brother. Any movie should be so lucky to date itself so entertainingly. 🎃🎃🎃🎃/4

The Orphan (2009): Twist was as satisfying as promised. This could have been an all-time blast if the director had cut 20 minutes of unnecessary depressing stuff. Note to filmmakers: less trauma, more murder orphan. (🎃🎃.5/4) #HalloweenWatch
