Quick #HamishMacBeth and it's the S1 finale, which is ... a little lacking. The setting has always been in the mix of the show's appeal, but this one takes it into scenery porn as MacBeth escorts Isobel and a doomed climber up the local mountain and ... well, that's about it TBH.

Rare to go throught Chorlton without a book haul. Today saw some gaps filled with some Hamish Macbeth. Inspector Montalbano and a George Orwell. Loads more but the budgets tight at the mo

When you’re ill for the 6th day running but then you find #hamishmacbeth on BBC iPlayer and all is right with the world.

Cheeky little #HamishMacbeth last night, but not the next episode due to the impact of copyright laws, because the BBC isn't developing an LLM and so can't just ignore the need to licence West Side Story. So instead we skip to Wee Jock's Lament, which is just fantastic.

A highly entertaining read, packed with detail & behind-the-scenes insight.

Another #HamishMacBeth, and this time Hamish get's involved in an insurance scam (perpetrated by David Ashton, creator of McClevy) and accidentally catches a serial burglar. But that's just plot: the episode's about men struggling to communicate.

At a library sake, my wife bought me a mystery brown paper grocery bag of mystery books for $5.
I'd never read "cozy mysteries" (I had, didn't realize it) but these I probably would not have picked up. I usually go for the harder thrillers.

Finished #HamishMacbeth. The characters were likable enough. But the plots were really a bit hit and miss. Especially when they decided to go somewhat exotic.

Watched the first episode of #HamishMacbeth. God I loved that show when it was broadcast. It's part of what cemented Robert Carlyle's reputation: he didn't get written off as great psycho because between Cracker and Begbie he was here being charming romantic lead.
