I love basketball, lyricism, and multifaceted memoirs. I loved this book, about a Black kid growing up in urban Columbus in the 1990s, from the bottom of my middle-aged white lady heart.

The book is similar to " #GoAheadInTheRain: Notes to #ATribeCalledQuest" by #HanifAbdurraqib , another highly recommended book. As a massive fan of the #NativeTongues , I could've written these books. Both are a bit of tearjerkers too.
