Really good warbler weekend, 60+ blackcaps on a walk along test way, same numbers of chiffchaff, garden, sedge, cettis at fishlake meadows., grassy on Sunday eve in the forest
With swallows, sand and house martins all seen, starting to feel like summer, shame the temps don’t #hantsbirding
My January @bbs-birds.bsky.social WinBS had a Kildeer 0.5km from my top transect. Today's had this lovely Brambling (which is pretty good for us on the South coast!). Also a foot deep flooding for about 100m of the first transect too, so it took a bit longer than normal...

Have I found a 2W Caspian Gull at Woolston Sewage Works? Or have i been fooled again! Not great pictures but it was only there for a few brief seconds after I spotted it and the weather was gloomy. Any thoughts greatly appreciated. 08.01.26 #HantsBirds #HantsBirding #LowCarbonBirding

Went down to #lepebeach Sunday morning for a short wander along the coast line, didn’t expect to see wheatear, wall brown x3, sanderling and the whimberal amongst all the other birds down there, love the dark water section where it’s nice n quiet #hantsbirding

Spent the evening at Mottisfont abbey rose gardens enjoying the gardens with a glass of wine last night, heard a strange squark up in the air, looked up and there was a white stork flying overhead, seen both black and white in Hampshire this year just by pure luck #hantsbirding #hantsbirds #birding
