🔥SB 1422 (Durazo) would #EndtheFreeze on Medi-Cal enrollment for certain undocumented Californians.
☑️AB 2161 (Bonta) would stop unjust bureaucracy from impacting state-funded Medi-Cal members.
Cuts to #Health4All proposed by @cagovernornewsom.bsky.social—both in this year's budget & last year's—are making Medi-Cal unequal, as undocumented immigrants are being cut off from services.
“They’ll be paying more for worse & more precarious coverage,” said our policy director, Diana Douglas.
Special thanks to the #Health4All advocates & impacted community members who gave public comment afterwards, at the Asm. Budget Sub. 1 hearing on the impacts of cuts to care for immigrant Californians.

We also unveiled two bills, #SB1422 ( #Durazo ) which would end the currently imposed freeze on Medi-Cal enrollment for undoc. Californians, & #AB2161 ( #Bonta ) which would prevent Trump-style work requirements from being imposed on some Californians. #Health4All
