End of the Canyon The Heart River exits its canyon into a wide meadow and floodplain above its confluence with the Snake River in a few miles. The color here comes mostly from willows.

The lower reaches of #HeartRiver Canyon as it enters the confluence region where it joins with the #SnakeRiver in #Yellowstone.

Over the next 72 hours I would see five #grizzly #bears and zero people.
