A very pretty little shore crab (Hemigrapsus oregonensis) I found on the beach. Usually these are mostly greyish-green, but this one seems to have its own style in mind.

海水浴場の砂浜を歩いていました。大きさはサワガニくらい。名前を調べてみましたが、多分イソガニです。

#Hemigrapsus sanguineus

A freshly molted crab named "Limbless" being held, with all his limbs having grown back. His legs and claws are disproportionately small for his body because they don't grow back full size right after, it will take a few molts before they are fully grown back.

This is my favorite crab. His name is Limbless, because I found him without any limbs. Luckily for him, they grew back! I fed him a few times a week by cracking open mussels and putting him on top of them for several months until he molted and got his claws and legs back. 🦀 #crab #hemigrapsus
