Continuing in the Hibbertia posts, the last species I saw on this hike was I’m pretty sure #Hibbertia exasperata! Sooo yellow and cheery, seems to be a similar group to Hibbertia rostellata I saw in southern cross

Gotta love Hibbertias! This one was scattered around flowering! I believe is #Hibbertia hemignosta based on what I could get down on the key!

I believed this to be #Hibbertia hypericoides subsp. hypericoides, tho images are a pain for IDs for this genus 😅 can’t check hair shape and what not! Either way I just love Hibbertias! Such cheery flowers and very diverse species wise even if most, but not all, are yellow

The very #Hibbertia like #Labichea punctata, I swear I’m still in the #Fabaceae! Part of the #Dialioideae subfamily, a mostly tropical family. Most of this genus is found in the norther parts of Australia, but a few are found in the Southwest and SouthEast

Not sure on this #Hibbertia, was thinking maybe #H. ovata or some other within the commutata species group (which doesn’t narrow it down as it’s a large group 😅). Either way it’s a beautiful plant (like all Hibbertia)

A newly described species of #Hibbertia, separated out from H.diamesogenos, #Hibbertia parvula! I do also love that the technical term for the anther arrangement is ‘Hand-of-Banana’! #WildOz #Taxonomy
