prosthetics and cyborgism run rampant in yuunban society, due to technological advancements, deformities and illness from environmental toxins, and a system that more or less obligates one to become the perfect tool for the role they "need" to play (granted, this latter sentiment has wavered somewhat in recent years).
Many cybernetic implants, especially now, are just that: normal replacements for limbs and organs, sometimes fitted with other mechanisms for convenience, self defense and leisure. The wealthier can afford better enhacements, and soldiers can get weapons
They are known, though, for those who have tools for limbs and are reconstructed to be built for their occupations.

the advacements in tech resulted in a very gung-ho implication of bionics within all sorts of sectors. firemen with enhanced thermoreceptors. singers with speakers embedded within them.
syntehtic pouches.
the working class got the brunt of it -- fishing poles, kitchen utensils, and infamously drills would be attached to many yuunban citizens, often at a young age to lock them into a career and save those who would otherwise be culled or left behind.
ethical concerns, especially in the wake of a certain G3 officer's life and death, have lead to recent regulations to this practice!

"Yuunban" are the headcanon term for Krubis's species and are all anthropomorphic geckos.
Krubis
Born in the Biorevolution's heydey, Krubis was one of many in the radius of the mines fitted with drills for hands.
His armor serves as an engine, utilizing his vitals, energy and god knows what upon connection in order to drill endlessly
Upon indoctrination into the
G3, his technology was upgraded and modified to be better fit for combat and quicker work.
He lamented being unable to use it to its full potential.

His drills don't have the same inhibitors as career miners, his jets are powerful enough to burst through rock, and his new power pack is taylored for subterranean slaughter
