A color photograph taken at Bryant Park in Midtown Manhattan just before Christmas time. In the crowded holiday market, a young boy is inquisitively looking up into the face of an elderly woman in a fur coat as he passes by her from behind. The wonder of the look on his face is palpable and uniquely childlike as he hold the hand of his guardian who is outside the crop of the photograph. The elderly woman is also holding on to someone's arm, their face is also cropped outside the frame of the photograph. The look of inquisitiveness and maybe concern are shown on her face (as if she's watching her steps very carefully).
