Even though I believe this is considered a federal holiday in the US (and #Homecoming250 in Philly) I've never once gotten this day off of work or school. #notbitter

#NavigatingThePast Day 1 is wrapping up. Honored to have been part of such an innovative and inspiring conference in honor of #Homecoming250, #USMC250, and #USNavy250 .

#NavigatingThePast kicked off tonight with an opening reception at the Libray Company of Philadelphia and a call for academics to be "ambassadors of historical context." Tomorrow begins 2 days of Navy/USMC history in honor of #Homecoming250 and the 2 branches 250th birthdays.
