Vandalism of Muslim Prayer Room at N.Y.U. Is Investigated as Hate Crime Graffiti was etched onto walls of the room, at a university library, and prayer mats kept there had been soaked in urine.

We are shocked by the vandalism at NYU’s Muslim prayer room. We stand united against hate with our Muslim siblings and continue the fight for safety, dignity and justice for all. #HopeAgainstHate

Thousands of government webpages have been taken down including those on hate crimes. As an organization committed to combating anti-Asian hate through our #HopeAgainstHate Campaign, we are deeply concerned about what this move signals for government support of marginalized communities.

Our #HopeAgainstHate Campaign continues to train people in skills to keep themselves and their loved ones safe. Just in time for the general election, we also launched Ballot Builder—an innovative voter educational tool, connecting thousands with bipartisan info in 8 different Asian languages.

It’s noticeable how language has changed recently from hope to anger and hatred.

The uptick of violent language has increased. We must keep it out of our minds & mouths & keep working at raising our mindsets.
