Last night I watched a gut-puncher docu from 1972 on bbc iplayer. “The Block” follows Southwark Council tenants on the awful Chaucer Estate & officers who blame them for their poverty. The kids are a few years older than me. I was desperate for happy endings but here we are, 52y later… #housingUK
