The rumor mill saying #HousingWorks wants to cut its staff for its multiple retail locations. That makes sense for the type of legal loophole retaliation measures they've been implementing for the sole purpose of pressuring people out. Having people leave the union makes it easier to fire them

Screenshot of email: Union Staff: As detailed in our collective bargaining agreement (CBA), we are implementing annual increases of 2.25% for all staff members who are in the union, who were hired before 3/1/24, and who have not received an increase as of 1/1/24 or later. Union increases will be applied regardless of rating. Union staff members will not receive additional merit-based increases this year. Non-Union Staff: For non-union, non-VP/Executive staff members, we will use a tiered increase scale based on performance review rating. Below are specifics on the increase key: An individual (non-union) with a rating of 3-3.49 will get a 3% increase, An individual (non-union) with a rating of 3.5-3.99 will get 3.5%, An individual (non-union) with a rating of 4-4.49 will get 4%, An individual (non-union) with a rating of 4.5-5 will get 4.5%.
This is what #HousingWorks feels about it's employees who decided to join a union.
The public should ask the question "why is Housing Works trying to entice it's employees away from their union? What are the types of companies who usually do these types of union busting?"
