Drawing of a thylacine. Sketch is black and white ink with multicolored fur. This carnivorous marsupial is shown standing on all fours. Writing on sketch reads: “Drawn from taxidermied thylacine at Hunterian Museum. Glasgow, August 2025.”
Drawing of cheerful dimetrodon. Inked in black and white with shading in multicolored crosshatching. Text on drawing reads “This is from a dimetridon [sic…I misspelled the name of this critter] cutout mod at Hunterian museum. Original is by Vernon Edwards. The models were sold at the Natural History Museum in the mid-1920s.”
At the bottom of the page I wrote: “feeling sick, so I stayed in Coatbridge.”
Just got back from a wonderful trip the the UK with my children. Lots of museums, lots of exploring. In Glasgow we went to the #HunterianMuseum where there is a really good natural history collection on display. Including some drawings I did here. #SciArt #PaleoArt
