Using the back-trajectory model #HySPLIT, and the isotope distillation model #SWIM, we show that the observed isotope profiles carry signatures of (1.) the hydrological pathway during vapor transport 🧶, (2.) mixing with vapor from surface snow ❄️, and (3.) katabatic winds.💨

On Monday, #bushfires #smoke layers over #Germany continue (#PollyNet #lidar). Now it has fallen to about 4km altitude. It can be traced back to #CaliforniaFires & #OregonFires (Source: @NOAA ARL #HYSPLIT). Smoke forms fine veil #clouds over #Leipzig / @ACTRISRI #WestCoastFires
