💧As drought risk grows, Scottish research shows that nature-based solutions (NbS) can help protect rivers, and water dependent industries like whisky. 🥃

Great blog showing a range of things you can do to reduce #Flooding risk.

At home we currently have a water butt, trees & shrubs, rain garden area and swales (kind of!!). A living roof on our garage is a dream for now! One day! 🤞🏼

4/4 "There’s growing momentum behind efforts to slow the flow of water across the landscape.”

"The aim is to stop rainfall from simply running off into rivers and out to sea, and instead hold more of it in the land."🌊

4/5 Open discussions with experts at the #DelugeAI workshop revealed that whilst #ArtificialIntelligence offers speed & scale, it’s important that:

👥 “Humans must stay in the loop”
⚖️ Build ethical safeguards
🧠 Upskill the workforce
🔍 Focus on trust & transparency
