Next up is Teilhard. Again, I was familiar with the name, but I didn't even know that he lived in the 20th century. Looks like Duré's exile and expeditions are based on his life.

I actually started #Hyperion, and I'm educated enough to recognize that the structure is based on the Canterbury Tales, but I haven't actually read them. I wonder what other references I might be missing.

Rest in Peace Dan - one of my role models for fiction writing and being an author. The heart of Shakespeare and Asimov in one chest. Mahnmut and Orphu will remember you long after humanity has gone 😉.
