Violet felt a heavy pounding in her head. It was one she was familiar with, as she had experienced much the same when G'raha Tia had summoned her from The Source to The First. It had only been for her aid to restore balance to the reflection and to save her friends' trapped souls, until it became a battle she never thought she'd have to fight. Now, it was due to the aid of a former enemy, that lonely Ancient trapped within the confines of the Crystal Tower who gave what was left of his aether to send her to the past in order to learn what she could in order to stop a terrible Calamity from befalling the Star once more. The first Calamity that ever befell their world—The Final Days. The Warrior of Light slowly sat up, allowing herself to gain her bearings before she attempted to stand. She took in her surroundings as cobalt eyes searched all around her. The architecture and its design was similar to what she had observed in the recreation of Amaurot and the ruins of Anamnesis Anyder beneath the Tempest. Everything, including the Ancients that lingered in the building she found herself in, were the same size as they had been during her brief jaunts in that phantom city and those ruins. From what she had learned of the world before the Sundering, Violet knew all too well that this was the proper size of the world. Elidibus' plan worked, she thought solemnly. I've made it to the past.
The multi-disciplined warrior finally stood and began to walk around. She needed to find clues that would lead her to Hermes, and quickly. The longer she took to discover the cause of the Final Days, the more the world would suffer in her absence. But, she quickly encountered quite the hiccup. She had assumed that she would not be tangible enough to gain the attention of the Ancients that were milling about, just as Elidibus had warned her; however, she did not realize that would extend to the very walls themselves. Violet had believed that she would be able to simply walk through the door leading out of the building—she was little more than a ghost, after all. But as she put her hand against the door out of habit, she met resistance. What? Violet tried again and again, but the door would not budge. She was, effectively, trapped. Knowing that trying again would be futile, the hyur put her back against the barrier and slid down to the floor, careful of her equipment. She pulled her knees to her chest, wrapped her arms around them, and hid her face in that pocket of darkness that was created. Violet was aware that no one could truly see her, but she didn't wish to expose her frustration at her current circumstances.
I know he only had enough aether to send me to the past, but could he have made it to where I'd be able to at least interact with something as simple as furniture and structures? Violet took a deep breath to calm herself. She knew that when her emotions got the better of her, she tended to lash out. She knew that Elidibus had done everything that he could, had relinquished what was left of his own lifeforce to bring her here. And the hyur knew all too well that she would be forever grateful for his sacrifice. With that in mind, she resolved herself to wait until one of the building's occupants either left the building by way of the door, or someone entered the same way. She kept her head down against her legs, letting herself enjoy a brief respite in that small pocket of darkness her arms and legs created. She had been running around since they had left for Thavnair, and hadn't stopped since. She didn't even bother raising her head at the tell-tale sounds of two people arriving through teleportation. If it wasn't the sound of someone opening the door to the outside of the building, she wasn't going to move. That is, until she heard a familiar melodic voice extend a greeting to the Ancient in charge of Propylaion.
